Retractable awnings are made of a high tensile strength fabric that provides up to 99% shade. Attached to your house is the frame for the retractable patio awning. The fabric is attached to the roller tube and front bar and is held up by two awning arms that collapse into the frame when they are brought in. If you have a motorized patio awning, all you have to do is press a button and watch as your awning rolls out to provide shade from the hot sun.
With a manual retractable patio awning, you will use a hand-crank to roll out your awning. The crank mechanism is gear-driven, so it’s very easy to use even for some of our older clientele. The beauty of a retractable patio awning is that it can be stored if you want a little extra sun during the winter, but is easy to put out when you so desire.
