Do you offer manual exterior roller screens?
Yes, under certain conditions. We’re happy to provide you a custom manual drop screen kit that can be attached to your house or patio cover. We provide professional installation on manual retractable screens if you are also using us as your Alumawood patio installer.
Manual patio screens are about $150 cheaper for kits.
Will I need to get a permit for a retractable patio screen?
No, power screens don’t require a building permit.
However, most communities in the Coachella Valley do require HOA approval. Whether you’re in Palm Springs, Indio, or somewhere in between, our team will help you navigate the process and confirm which fabric colors and hardware options are allowed for your home.
How long does installation take?

Can I customize the colors?

Can I leave my retractable patio screen down in the wind?
On windy days, the biggest risk to outdoor motorized screens is flying debris. No manufacturer (including those claiming hurricane-rated screens) covers tears from debris under warranty. That’s why drop screens should always be retracted during windstorms.
